Peace Festival
Organized and ran by Student Council
High School Hacks
Session 1: 25 8th graders; 5 volunteers (Lamar, HSPVA, Carnegie, and two Lanier educators)
Session 2: 15 8th graders; volunteers from Belair, DeBakey, and Carnegie
Sandwich University (Rice University Partnership) – Over 1,000 sandwiches made
Monthly Writing Competitions – Supported by Mr. Garrett; judged by three volunteer teachers
Music Mondays – Student performers
PNN – Student News network class created
100 Years of Lanier - Logo Competition
Time Capsule - assisted in locating and worked with PTO on 100 year celebration planning
Female Products- improved access with Ms. Valle’s support

Field Day – Potential collaboration with PE department replacing Winter Festival
Assemblies - facilitate as topics are chosen
School Garden – recruit sponsor and group
Helpful Helpers Program – Student volunteers assist classmates with injuries
Bilingual Support Program – Extra English help sessions in the library for bilingual students
Female Product Dispensers – Install long-stored dispensers in girls' restrooms
